The HWBS2All Project

The HWBS2all project is focused on promoting and improving levels of well-being and happiness in schools.

In a context where the teaching community faces significant challenges in their professional activity (burnout, aging, career progression, among others), as well as insufficient resources in schools, the digital transformation of society, changes in student profiles, and their relationship with school. Given this context, it is necessary to validate and develop tools that allow us to paint a picture of the situation of the agents (teachers and students) and their levels of well-being, motivation, and satisfaction, enabling the creation of solutions to promote happiness and well-being in the school context.

The target audience for this project will be secondary and vocational school teachers and students. The overall objective of the project is to develop resources that promote higher levels of happiness and well-being in the student experience.

What the Project Allow?

The project will allow the following:

  • Validate state of the art on happiness and well-being in school contexts; identify resources and ways of measuring the constructs for teachers and students;
  • Present/develop a metric that allows measuring levels of happiness and well-being in the classroom context;
  • Develop a digital platform, accessible and intuitive, where activities, resources and tools that can be developed in the classroom context, capable of improving the level of happiness and well-being in the school context, will be presented;
  • Create training actions for teachers to implement the metrics presented and suggested activities to improve happiness and well-being.

Objectives

The HWBS2all project is embodied in the development of a web platform that will enable the following:

  • validation of the levels of happiness and well-being in VET teachers and students;
  • provision of digital resources, lessons, strategies and differentiating resources to enhance and increase the levels of happiness and well-being of teachers and students;
  • possibility to measure the impact of using the tools and make them available by creating the “Happy School” index.
